When we’re younger before we’re taught to believe that things are impossible. We’re aware of our potential. We have no fear. Just an imagination.
We may not be aware of the necessary steps or sacrifices required to make the changes that will lead us to success, but we feel we can accomplish anything we set our minds to.
What happened to those people? Maybe we were young and ignorant; now we’re old and complacent. So, many of us have lost hope in a better future, a better life, a more pleasant existence.
We limit ourselves to what we can accomplish; by doing so, we guarantee the change we’re dreaming of never manages to arrive.
If there’s a way to fail at life, this is certainly it. If you limit what you can accomplish, what you can experience, and what level of wisdom you can achieve, I guarantee you will get exactly that: a limited existence.
Before you get excited and decide I’m right that you have been limiting yourself you need to understand something.
While there may not be a limit on what you can accomplish, there’s a limit on how much you can do in a day, a week, a month or a year.
Also, your body and mind can take only so much. In other words, don’t think you can build Rome in a day.
More importantly, don’t get caught believing that anything worth accomplishing is easy or pleasant. Change is an unpleasant experience for the most part not so much once the change occurs, but during the process itself.
With each significant life change, you’re making, your reality changes. Your world literally alters.
Some changes happen more seamlessly than others. But you’ll really only appreciate the ones that required significant effort.
Pursuing your dreams requires sacrifice. We have limited time and energy. We can do only so much.
Every goal requires a minimum number of steps. Some things are more easily accomplished than others.
But that’s not always the case. Don’t worry about the number of steps; concern yourself with maintaining the right amount of focus, determination and will to succeed.
Some things require more focus than others. Some pursuits will ask for your complete and unwavering attention, and these are the most significant challenges in your life. They require the most processing, planning, and adjusting.
People don’t necessarily fail when they don’t know what they’re doing or what it takes. They fail when they’re unable to recognize opportunities because they aren’t focused enough to look for them.
Our plans can change because we’re forced to seek out something else. Or maybe our focus is telling us to look elsewhere.
People don’t see the opportunities that present themselves along the way because they aren’t focused enough to notice them.
Sometimes we change our plans because we have to. Or maybe we’re just seeing life differently.
Most of us believe we cannot change our lives without first being successful. In reality, we need to change our lives before we attain success.
People aren’t born brilliant. Some of us have a slower processing speed; others have higher. At the end of the day, if you want to be brilliant, you have to work for it, you have to earn it, otherwise, it’s just considered desire.
Unless you’re accustomed to hard work, it’s never fun. You’ll miss out on some popular experiences in life, but the trade-off is worth it. Do it right. Live a life that everyone wants to live one that too few is willing to seek.
Don’t expect support from others. Maybe they’ll get it; maybe they won’t. They’ll tell you not to bother.
They’ll give you reasons that you shouldn’t do it. Secretly, you know they simply don’t believe in you.
The negative energy of those people in your life are anchors to an existence you don’t want to be a part of. The only reason they’re telling you that your goals are “impossible” is that they don’t have the guts to do what you’re doing. In a way, they’re right; it is impossible. But only for them.
Ignore the world. Keep doing you. And, eventually, it will have no option but to revere what you do best. Life is just a big empty canvas. You create your own art. And, then you decide how to turn it into a masterpiece.
Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.
